Ascent Experience

Ascent...never stop questing

....no, not the town in Berkshire, but the act of seeing whats on a piece of paper, and digesting it.

I've been reading a lot lately, and can thoroughly recommend (I wont do reviews, as I dont want to spoil them) the following:

"The Unbearable Lightness of Being" - A fascinating look at love, and what its all about.

"As a man thinketh" - What an eye opener this book is. Now I know where they got the idea for the "Secret" from, even though the Secret (IMHO) is nonsense..

"The monk who sold his Ferrari" - I'm sure that if Clay had a Ferrari, he'd sell it and become a monk.

"Four hour working week" - If only it were that simple eh? Perhaps it is, you just have to have the right idea, and the process. This guy helps with the process.

More to come....

I've read the Monk "Who Sold His Ferrari" and yes Ian I would sell mine if I had one. However, in line with "As a man thinketh," I'll image I have a Ferrari and then sell it in my mind.

On a serious note, I enjoyed reading the Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. I'll admit as a work of fiction, it doesn't ring any literary bells, but the message it loud, clear, and inspiring. It didn't necessarily learn anything new, but reading it reminded me of the important things I'd forgotten and now remember again and am using again, hence the resurrection of Ascent.

I've heard about the 4 hour work week, but haven't read. Every time I go to order it, I change my mind. I do from time to time dip into Tim's weblog. I guess I haven't read it yet because I haven't got past the belief that if you love what you do and you do what you love, you'll never work another day in your life.

Thanks Ian.
